BuildRight Acquires Phoenix-Based Local Underground Construction
BuildRight expands its portfolio by acquiring Phoenix-based company Local Underground Construction (LUC). This strategic move, completed on August 31st, 2023, brings together two remarkable stories. LUC's history is a testament to entrepreneurship, founded by four friends who built the company from the ground up.
These same owners have now committed to a long-term partnership, signing employee agreements with BuildRight. BuildRight is excited to offer operational support, propelling LUC's growth and seamless integration into our family of construction companies. This move strengthens BuildRight and benefits our portfolio company, Marks Valley Grading.
It enables BuildRight to bid on underground projects, providing a comprehensive solution for general contractors. General contractors can now source both underground and grading services from a single trusted partner, streamlining their projects and enhancing efficiency.
Previously, LUC did not offer employee benefits, but under BuildRight's ownership, employees will now enjoy valuable perks, including health insurance coverage and a 401(k) program with company matching. Tyler Davis is appointed General Manager to lead this transformation, he will steer Local Underground Construction under BuildRight's guidance.
